We’re a few hours away from listening to Jungkook’s first global solo debut as an artist with his upcoming track ‘Seven’. The BTS member announced recently that he would be releasing this single before his album, tentatively titled by fans JJK1.

The song’s recently released trailer, featuring actress Han So-hee, has increased the anticipation for the song tenfold and fans can’t wait to see (and hear) what the Golden Maknae has in store for them.

In between obsessively pouring over the campaign teaser and the music video snippet while waiting for the song to release, we figured we’ll go down memory lane and experience all of Jungkook’s best solo musical moments once more.

Over the years, Jungkook has released solo songs within BTS’ albums and shared some on the band’s Soundcloud for their fans. He has also released some incredible covers of popular songs, like Troye Sivan’s ‘Fools’, and Charlie Puth’s ‘We Don’t Talk Anymore’.

Solo Jungkook Songs

So if you, like us, can hardly wait for ‘Seven’, listen to these seven solo Jungkook songs to celebrate the singer’s new project in the best way possible…

Begin (2016)

BTS’ 2016 album Wings proved to be a breakthrough, not only as it catapulted them into the top ranks and charts but, by shaking things up and highlighting each group member with a solo song. Jungkook’s track ‘Begin’ was written by group leader RM, or Kim Namjoon, and had him croon about his extraordinary journey from Busan to Seoul.

Euphoria (2018)

A part of BTS’ Love Yourself: Answer album, ‘Euphoria’ is a delightful track that fans will forever associate with Jungkook flying over a packed concert audience, while strapped in a harness, as he performed the song during the Love Yourself world tour. The song, like the title suggests, talks about the intense feeling of happiness one feels and it was made even special for the ARMYs as the artists dedicated it to his fans.

My Time (2020)

BTS has never shied away from talking about the toll the journey to their extraordinary position and success took on their mental health. In this track from the band’s Map Of The Soul: 7 album, Jungkook shifts away from his usual pop sound and presents a compelling R&B track that talks about his missed teenage experiences and unusual life.

Still With You (2020)

Released as part of the band’s Festa, or anniversary, celebrations, this track by Jungkook holds a special place in ARMYs’ hearts. The calming track highlights Jungkook’s incredible vocals and writing skills. In the run up to ‘Seven’, Jungkook released the track officially on Spotify and, to no one’s surprise, it instantly skyrocketed to the top of the charts and broke several records for the artist.

Stay Alive (2022)

The BTS Universe is so expansive that it also has a digital comic webtoon, called 7 Fates: Chakho, in it. As part of its soundtrack, Suga produced a track with Jungkook lending his vocals for it. The deeply emotional and dramatic lyrics and sound complement Jungkook’s voice perfectly.

My You (2022)

Another Festa song, ‘My You’ was a love letter to ARMYs and it came at a bittersweet time. It was during the 2022 Festa that BTS announced a temporary hiatus from group activities to pursue solo projects and to fulfil their mandatory military enlistment.

Dreamers (2022)

From the shy, 15-year-old who debuted with a group of underdogs in Seoul to the 25-year-old who proudly sang a song about the power of dreams in front of the whole world, Jungkook truly showed that he ahs come a long way with ‘Dreamers’. The song, a part of the 2022 FIFA World Cup soundtrack, was performed live by the artist in the opening ceremony in Qatar.
