The movie Jaane Jaan is being helmed by Sujoy Ghosh, known for amazing mystery films like Kahaani, and stars Kareena Kapoor, Jaideep Ahlawat and Vijay Varma in lead roles. The movie follows a single mother’s quest to cover up the murder of her abusive ex-husband with the help of her lovesick neighbour.

After translating some of Shakespeare’s most iconic works into critically-acclaimed movies, director Vishal Bhardwaj is back with more eagerly-anticipated page-to-screen adaptations. Two of the director’s upcoming projects are based on popular books, including a web series based on Agatha Christie’s The Sittaford Mystery. His other work, Khufiya, is a neo-noir spy-thriller film based on Amar Bhushan’s Escape from Nowhere. It stars Tabu, Ali Fazal, and Wamiqa Gabbi and follows a spy agent tasked with tracking down a mole who is selling out India’s defense secrets.

It premiered at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year and garnered widespread critical acclaim.
