It’s time for all The Hunger Games fans around the world to find their Mockingjay pin and get ready for the prequel, The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes. Written by author Suzanne Collins, The Hunger Games was a part of a trilogy series that also included Catching Fire and Mockingjay.
Set in a dystopian society, Panem, every year children and adults from the 12 districts of were picked at random and forced to fight to death in a battle royale a.k.a The Hunger Games. Starring Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, and Liam Hemsworth, the blockbuster trilogy films are loved by fans around the world even today.
The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes (the book) was published in 2020 and was soon picked up by Lionsgate. The book follows an 18-year-old Coriolanus Snow, who’s chosen as a student mentor to a District 12 tribute in the annual Hunger Games before he became the ruthless leader that he is later in the series.
The movie is all set to release on November 17, 2023.
