Balletcore Is The New Aesthetic Everyone Is Obsessed With

Junior Digital Writer

We have a new ‘core’ in town and it’s hard not to fall in love with it. With Fall finally starting to transition into the beautiful winter season, ‘balletcore’ is entering our lives and our Pinterest boards.

There’s something extremely charming and fascinating about ballerinas, especially since Edgar Degas‘ Impressionist paintings from the 1800s. And now, social media is ready to bring it back in style, with #balletcore passing 9.5 million views on just TikTok. Needless to say, the sleek, feminine style is loved by people around the globe, including our favourite celebrities.

While being a ballerina requires dedication, hard work and strong will, luckily, you don’t need any of that to indulge in balletcore. Tulle skirts, ballet flats, wrap-around sweaters, cardigans, soft leg warmers, sheer tights, and bows are the ultimate balletcore staples. And while people add their own twist to the trend, the message is the same everywhere: ballerinas are not just restricted to people with a certain body type or features. The trend is inclusive on all counts and we’re here for it.

So, from Bella Hadid to Sydney Sweeney, here are some of our favourite celebrities who took balletcore to a whole new level!

Bella Hadid

Bella Hadid is the biggest fan of pink leg warmers and it’s safe to say that she pulls them off absolutely effortlessly.

Olivia Rodrigo

Only Olivia Rodrigo can pull off a pink ballet dress with a slicked-back bun and black fishnet sleeves like an absolute pro.

Sydney Sweeney

Taking balletcore to the red carpet, Sydney Sweeny has aced the romantic ballerina style with utmost perfection and grace.

Ariana Grande

The ultimate balletcore star, Ariana Grande’s style has evolved over the years but she has always had an element of the ultimate prima ballerina in each of her looks.
