Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas at this year’s Met Gala were like a match made in fashion heaven. Chopra made her Met debut in 2017 in an iconic (and meme-worthy) Ralph Lauren trench dress with a long trail, and has been slaying the event ever since. And this year, the power couple strutted their stuff on the red carpet, giving us all some serious #couplegoals.

And while the Citadel star is no stranger to glitz and glamour, her newest Met Gala necklace just brought her jewellery repertoire to a whole new level. The Bollywood icon wore an 11.6 carat diamond necklace to the Met this year. The statement piece was from Bulgari.

However, what caught our attention was the price of Chopra’s necklace. Hold on to your wallets, folks, because the price tag of PC’s necklace is enough to make you cry into your piggy bank. It could probably pay off multiple down payments, a few student loans, and still have some cash left over for a shopping spree! We can only imagine how heavy that diamond necklace must have felt around her neck, both literally and figuratively.

If a viral report is to be believed, the star’s neck piece is worth USD 25 million which is approximately Rs 204 crores and is now reported to be auctioned after the event. The viral tweet read, “Her USD 25 million @Bulgariofficial necklace is going to be auctioned off after the Met Gala @priyankachopra.”

Chopra paired the one-of-a-kind necklace with a stunning black gown featuring a daring thigh-high slit. The actress gushed about the “spectacular craftsmanship” of the Laguna Blu diamond necklace and added a heart emoji to express her love for the piece on her Instagram Story. Overall, she looked absolutely gorgeous!

The White Tiger actress wasn’t the only Indian celebrity to grace the Met Gala 2023. Alia Bhatt made her debut at the event in a gorgeous Prabal Gurung white gown adorned with 100,000 pearls, while Natasha Poonawala and Isha Ambani stunned in their own drool-worthy outfits. The event was themed around the controversial German fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld, who passed away in 2019, and it was a night to remember for fashion enthusiasts all over the world.

On the work front, Chopra is currently starring in the American web series Citadel, which is streaming on Amazon Prime Video. She is also set to appear in James C. Strouse’s upcoming movie Love Again, alongside Sam Heughan, which is slated to release on May 12. Chopra will also be seen in Farhan Akhtar’s next, Jee Le Zaraa, co-starring Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif.
