Priyanka Chopra Looks Fierce In Russo Brothers’ ‘Citadel’

Priyanka Chopra Jonas recently revealed the first glimpse of her highly anticipated series, Citadel, and it has left her fans buzzing with excitement. The multi-talented star treated her followers with a surprise by hiding a QR code in the photos she shared on social media, which unveiled a short teaser of the show.

Produced by none other than the Russo brothers, the thriller series is scheduled to premiere on April 28, and is poised to become one of the biggest releases of the year.

The teaser promises high-octane action sequences as actors Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden turn into spies. Chopra plays the role of Nadia Sinh, a secret agent whose existence has been deleted from the files.

In one of the stills, the actress, dressed in a striking red outfit, wields a gun with conviction. The second picture reveals her joining forces with co-star Richard Madden, as they embark on a mission together.

The show will follow Chopra and Madden, who play spies working for Citadel, a global organisation with no country ties. The storyline kicks off after Citadel’s downfall and the duo must unravel the reason behind it, but their mission is complicated with their memories all wiped out. The show is expected to be a gripping watch for fans of action and suspense.

The Quantico actress, in an interview, revealed that her character was quite different from her in real life. She said, “I’m a goofball, so what was the biggest challenge for me was to be really cool. This was physically demanding, emotionally demanding, but it’s such a fun show to be a part of.”

“It kind of blew my mind. This is something that’s never been attempted on television before, and just the social experiment and the audacity of it was just so exciting to me,” she added.

The six-episode series will also tie into the Italian and Indian versions of the Prime Video show. Helmed by Raj and DK, the Indian series, starring Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu, is currently under production in India.

Chopra will also be seen in the romantic comedy Love Again opposite Sam Heughan and Celine Dion later this year. She is also supposed to begin filming Jee Le Zaraa directed by Farhan Akhtar, with co-stars Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt.
