Yesterday evening, Mumbai saw the biggest and best-dressed celebrities of the country attending the launch of the Jio World Plaza, India’s largest luxury mall, in Bandra Kurla Comlex.

The new opulent shopping destination is set to open doors to the public today, and will house a bouquet of high-end brands like Dior, Gucci and Rolex, among others. Valentino will also open their first flagship store in the city, while Balenciaga will launch their first boutique store in the Indian market at the Jio World Plaza.

The extravagant launch event of Mumbai’s newest luxury shopping destination on October 31st also saw a star-studded fashion show called ‘The New Order Of Style’ was put together by eight designers and 120 models. Ace Indian designers Manish Malhotra, Falguni Shane Peacock, Abu-Jani Sandeep Khosla, Rahul Mishra, Satya Paul, Ritu Kumar, Abraham & Thakore, Rajesh Pratap Singh and Anamika Khanna showcased their collections. Stars like Ranveer Singh, Karisma Kapoor, John Abraham, Sonam Kapoor-Ahuja, Sara Ali Khan, Jahnvi Kapoor, Tamannaah Bhatia, Vijay Verma, Suniel and Athiya Shetty, and Shanaya Kapoor among others walked the ramp. International supermodels Ashley Graham and Elsa Hosk also took on the runway dressed in beautiful saris, while their Indian counterparts like Ujjwala Raut, Carol Garcias and Sheetal Mallar contributed to the starpower.

The night also saw musical performances from Monica Dogra and Shraddha Kapoor, who wore a Kanjeevaram sari that’s part of the Swadesh collection, envisioned by Nita Mukesh Ambani, which celebrated Indian artisans and crafts. Isha Ambani, who is not only a Director of Reliance Industries Limited, but if also the guiding force behind the Jio World Plaza delivered the opening address to a room full of the who’s who of the fashion world in the country.
