Koffee With Karan is back with season eight and the internet can’t wait. Earlier this week, Karan Johar revealed via Instagram that the first episode is set to feature power couple and Bollywood royalty, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh. This is the first time the couple will appear together on the Koffee couch and we can’t wait to witness the banter these superstar husband and wife share.
With less than a day to go for the episode to air on Disney+ Hostar, we’re already anticipating what’s going to be manifested on the couch this season, and which Bollywood celebrities is KJo pairing together. While some reports have suggested that Ajay Devgn-Rohit Shetty, Alia Bhatt-Kareena Kapoor and Kiara Advani-Sidharth Malhotra have already shot for their episodes at the YRF Studios in Mumbai, we thought of playing “match maker” and suggesting some celebrity pairings we’d like to see on Koffee With Karan this season.
Celebrities We Want To See Paired Together This Season On Koffee With Karan:
1. Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan
Apart from the massive star power these two helm, SRK and Salman’s friendship has been a topic of interest for the country for several years now. Especially with Salman’s power-packed cameo in Pathan, the duo’s bromance has left audiences wanting more. And while the two’s parallel career trajectories will be so insightful to dissect, both SRK and Salman are equally liberal with making fun of KJo and also delivering some of the most iconic lines of the show.
2. Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal
For a love story we saw manifesting right in front of our eyes, we think we deserve to see this happily-married couple on the couch together, finally! Besides the occasional sneak peeks on Instagram, this couple has been fairly private about their relationship. However, their undeniable chemistry needs 60+ minutes of undivided screen time!
3. Ranbir Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor
In season six of Koffee With Karan, Ranbir and Arjun briefly appeared together on a Koffee couch for a game of ‘kiss and tell’ and we discovered that the two share a bromance (having grown up together), that hasn’t received nearly enough attention.
4. Suhana Khan, Ananya Panday and Shanaya Kapoor
Last season, we saw their mothers dish about their Bollywood lives and this season, we’re hoping to see these childhood besties get together for an equally chaotic episode. It’s already public knowledge that Shanaya is working with Dharma and Suhana is prepping for the release of her debut (Zoya Akhar’s The Archies). We can’t wait to hear the stories these Gen-Zers have to tell!
5. Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor
While some reports are already suggesting that this in fact is happening, we’d love to see these sister-cum-best-friends dish some dirt on each other.
6. Ram Charan and Allu Arjun
South Indian cinema is getting the attention it deserves and it is no secret that Bollywood is obsessed with recreating the magic. So, this season, we’d love to see two of the biggest Telugu movie stars (who are also cousins) give us some insight into their world.
7. Twinkle Khanna and Kajol
Koffee With Karan needs to bring back Mrs Funnybones back on the couch and who better to bring her along with than Kajol? From past episodes, we know that both Kajol and Twinkle aren’t afraid to give it back to Karan and his ‘conjectures’. And given their cemeted status as true 90s icons, we’d love to take a walk down nostalgia road alongside this duo.
8. Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra
If reports are to be believed, Sid has already filmed his episode with his wife Kiara and we can’t wait to hear the couple share the details of their love story and dreamy wedding. But since we’re indulging in some wishful thinking, we’d love to see this Student Of The Year reunion finally take place. And while we’re at it, add Alia to the mix!
