Shilpa Shetty Channels Royalty In A Green And Golden Kalamkari Sari

Shilpa Shetty has established herself as an icon and a role model to many, be it for her fitness, her business sense or her fashion! Having spent three decades in the entertainment industry, the actor has donned many hats over the years, from an actor and a fitness expert to a reality show participant as well as a judge, and then, becoming a restauranteur and an investor. But the one thing that has remained unchanged through the years about Shilpa Shetty? Her impeccable sartorial sensibilities.

Recently, the 48-year-old was presented with the “Champions of Change 2023” Award for her contribution to the entertainment industry and raising awareness about health and wellness in the country. For this prestigious occasion, Shilpa Shetty placed her trust in the timeless elegance of a sari.

The actor opted for an opulent and bespoke olive green Kalamkari chiffon tissue silk sari by Nidhi Tambi Kejriwal, which features zari work and sequin embellishments. Royal motifs like elephants and chariots were printed on the sari, while the thick border featured simple sequin work. Shilpa Shetty paired this beautiful drape with a simple sleeveless golden blouse with a boat neckline.

This stunning masterpiece of a sari was further complemented by some equally gorgeous jewellery from Apala by Sumit. The gold necklace is embellished with emeralds and the centre piece features two horses flanking the green gem. While she didn’t opt to wear any earrings, Shetty accessorised the look with a serpentine kada stacked over a golden cuff as well as a statement oval ring.

As for glam, Shilpa Shetty kept it simple, yet chic. She wore a bronzed make-up look with filled-in brows, smudged liner and a glossy nude lip. The green bindi acted as the perfect finishing touch. And for hair, she let her long and shiny tresses flow freely with a side-part.

On the work front, Shilpa Shetty has been dominating the OTT game and her latest web series, Indian Police Force, is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video. Previously, she was seen in Sukhee on Netflix.
