After weeks of speculations, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have confirmed that they are expecting their first baby. The couple shared the news with their fans and followers on Instagram with an adorable post announcing that the baby will arrive in September this year.

Earlier this month, when Deepika appeared at the BAFTA awards in a stunning Sabyasachi sari, people had gone into sleuth mode trying to figure out whether the actress was hiding a baby bump behind her carefully draped sari. The couple hadn’t commented on the rumours, instead choosing to share the confirmation in this heartwarming way.
Deepika and Ranveer’s friends from the industry poured their heartfelt wishes for the couple in the comments. Ranveer Singh’s Lootera co-star Sonakshi Sinha declared that this will be their “best production yet!!! (sic)”, while Neha Dhupia quipped with a “Welcome to the best hood ever”. Varun Dhawan, Priyanka Chopra, Sonam Kapoor, Ayushmann Khurrana, Vikrant Massey, Shreya Ghoshal and other celebrities too joined the comments in congratulating the couple.
After dating for six years, the actors married each other on November 14, 2018, and are one of Bollywood’s most beloved couples.
