Since BTS’ Chapter Two started last year, ARMYs have not known a moment of peace. There are the incredible highs of anticipating solo studio album releases and the inevitable horror of seeing a Big Hit Announcement revealing which member is headed off to complete their mandatory military service next.

On Sunday, ARMYs had reasons to celebrate again when reports surfaced claiming that Jungkook, the youngest member of BTS, is all set to release his first album in July.

Korean news portal Sports Chosun first reported the unconfirmed news and also revealed that JJK1, the tentative album name assigned to Jungkook’s first album by fans, is going to feature several English tracks and collaborations with international artists.

To nobody’s surprise, the news spread like wildfire and #JJK1IsComing, and its variations, started trending online.

Big Hit’s statement addressing the rumours also did little to quell fans’ hopes that we would be getting an album from the vocal line member soon. The statement claimed that the official announcement would be made once the schedule has been confirmed.

Previously, members like J-Hope, RM, Suga, and Jimin have released full-length studio albums as solo artists.

It became even fishier when Jungkook went on a Livestream in his characteristic manner (which is at an ungodly hour) to hang out with the ARMYs and he just kept laughing while seeing comments pour in asking him to confirm or deny the July album release.

The singer is known for his live streams where he would spend hours singing songs, cooking food, doing dishes, or even folding his laundry. While he did sing a few songs and replied to comments on the feed, he did not address the album announcement leak.

So all we can do is wait for the Big Hit Announcement and look forward to ‘Take Two’ till then!
