BTS And Luxury Brands Are A Match Made In Heaven

Water is wet, chocolate is delicious, and BTS members are some of the most influential people on the planet. These are just basic facts that we know and believe. Over the years, the septet composed of RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook have become so popular across the world that their brand value is amongst the highest globally at the moment.

The sheer influence the K-pop supergroup holds over the millions of ARMYs around the world ensures that they attract the most lucrative deals from some of the biggest brands around the world. Over the past few years, BTS has been the face of brands like Samsung, Samsonite, Seoul Tourism, Louis Vuitton, Puma, McDonald’s, Coca-Cola, FILA, Hyundai, and a host of big Korean brands.

Now that the brand has taken a temporary hiatus from group activities, the seven members have branched out to explore solo projects and have released music on their own. Each member has had a chance to explore and present their individual personality and style to the world in a fresh and unique way. This has also meant that each member is now up for solo brand endorsement, which essentially means their brand value has only increased seven times following the break.

Therefore it was not surprising to see brands like Dior and Valentino announcing that they’re bringing BTS members on board as their ambassadors.

Here are all the brand endorsements BTS has attracted since they took a break from group activities…

RM

Kim Namjoon, or RM, is not only one of the best songwriters and rappers around, he is also a certified art influencer. His style and persona have also evolved to reflect his cerebral tastes and penchant for nature and art. RM’s ‘stealth wealth’ style found a match in Bottega Veneta, a brand known for its quietly luxurious fashion. The group leader has been spotted in the luxury label’s creations multiple times in the past, including a Grammys appearance and a memorable mini concert at the Dia Beacon. RM was invited by Matthieu Blazy to attend the Milan Fashion Week show and strong rumours have surfaced that the rapper could be the brand’s first celebrity ambassador very soon.

Jin

Worldwide Handsome Jin was the first member to enlist for the military to complete the conscription requirement for all South Korean men. Before leaving for the military, however, Jin was roped in to become the ambassador for popular instant noodle brand Ottogi’s Jin Ramen. The announcement shocked nobody as Jin is known to be a foodie and has spoken up about how he wants his brand to be rooted and approachable.

Suga

Min Yoongi, or Suga, is known to be a formidable rapper and producer and has won several awards for his talent. Yoongi has always been forthcoming about his struggles with mental health issues and gender identity. The rapper was named one of the Di.VA’s of Valentino, a group of celebrity brand ambassadors around the world, recently and is going to headline the label’s Essentials campaigns too.

J-Hope

Jung Hoseok, or J-Hope, has an unmatched energy and charm that makes him one of the most popular celebrities around the world. The ‘Arson’ rapper managed to hold his own as a headliner at the Lollapalooza festival where he commandeered thousands of concert attendees with his dance moves and rap. The super stylish BTS member is now the face of Louis Vuitton and was one of the biggest attractions at the Fall 2023 Menswear Show.

Jimin

Aside from being on the cusp of releasing his first ever solo studio album, Jimin is now the brand ambassador of not one but two major fashion brands. Earlier this year, he was roped in to be the face of Dior and now he is going to represent Tiffany & Co.

V

Kim Taehyung, or V, is one of the most charismatic celebrities in the world. His textbook good looks and melodiously deep voice make him a compelling figure to watch onstage and he is using his innate charm to bring that power to the screen as well. The singer has been a part of a popular variety show and is now representing SimInvest, a leading Indonesian investment company. He was also spotted at the Celine show last year and, according to reports, will be named their official ambassador very soon.

Jungkook

From delivering a mind-blowing performance at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar to hosting impromptu concerts in his living room, the youngest member of the group is living his best life. While it hasn’t been confirmed yet, reports have suggested that Versace is planning to rope in the Golden Maknae to be the face of their brand. Jungkook famously wore an ensemble from the design house during his FIFA performance and has been followed by Donatella Versace herself on Instagram.
