Fans of author Colleen Hoover have a reason to celebrate. The movie adaptation of her bestselling novel It Ends With Us is finally happening and it has roped in Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni to play the leads.
Yes! The book that took TikTok by storm is being developed for a big-screen adaptation and is going to be directed by Baldoni, who is also serving as an executive producer for the film.
In case you didn’t know, Hoover is one of the most popular authors online, with over two billion views on her TikTok hashtag. The book has also been named one of the ‘Top 10 Bestselling Books’ of 2022 in the US.
So it’s no surprise that fans have been clamouring for the book to get a movie adaptation and it looks like it’s finally happening.
The romance novel follows the story of small-town girl Lily who moves to Boston, for a fresh start, where she meets Ryle, a resident surgeon, and sparks fly between the two. Just as things start going well for Lily and Ryle, an old figure from her past reappears in her life to turn it all on its head.
Hoover has claimed that the novel was the hardest one to write because it’s based on her parent’s relationship. This is also why the author has come on board as a consultant for the film.
