Radhika Merchant and Anant Ambani’s pre-wedding festivities at the Reliance Greens in Jamnagar has been nothing short of iconic. From some of the world’s most popular names in attendance to Rihanna performing for the first time in India, the three-day long pre-wedding bash kicked off last night and soon took over our timelines, but we’re not complaining!
For last night’s “An Evening in Everland”, the bride opted to wear a bespoke creation from Atelier Versace, the luxury label’s haute couture arm. And if you thought that the gown looked familiar, you’d be totally right. This stunning masterpiece was created only one other time, for Blake Lively, who delivered a pop-culture moment in that same gown at the 2022 MET Gala (which she co-chaired!).
Blake’s gown was inspired by the city of New York, with the embellishments representing the Empire State Building and the bow elements stood for details of the Grand Central Station, while the copper metamorphosing into the teal blue shade representing the rust over time. And now, it sits in a guarded showcase at the Kensington Museum.
However, Radhika’s gown had no hints of teal, it was just pure copper. The bride paired her outfit with diamond jewellery and high glam. While she opted for a 90s style blowout to compliment her dress, her signature rosy make-up look was elevated to add more glow and glamour.
Anant Ambani, her childhood sweetheart, complimented her look in a classic tuxedo and the two were seen enjoying the revelry in clips that are now going viral on social media. From Radhika having the ultimate fan girl moment with Rihanna on stage, to a stunning drone show lighting up the Jamnagar night sky, we can’t wait to see what else do these opulent pre-wedding festivities have in store.
