Korean celebrities, like the members of groups like BTS and Blackpink are being appointed as the global ambassadors for luxury fashion houses like Dior, Louis Vuitton, Bulgari, and more.
The influence Korean performers hold over millennials and Gen-Z is something that is now being recognised by these brands. Aside from charisma and talent, these idols also come with millions of fans from around the world which directly translates to more visibility and numbers for luxury brands.
Southeast Asian countries, especially South Korea, are booming luxury markets and therefore it isn’t really a surprise that luxury brands are swarming to get popular Korean idols on board as ambassadors.

Kim Taehyung, or V, became French fashion house Celine’s official brand ambassador, even making an appearance at the label’s showcase at Paris Fashion Week. The singer was recently appointed as the global brand ambassador for Cartier. The iconic Panthère de Cartier necklace, which is worth a whopping INR 22 lakh, sold out following the release of campaign photos of V wearing the jewellery.
