2022 is the year of Deepika Padukone. After making a surprise appearance in Ranveer Singh’s Cirkus’ trailer and launching her own skincare brand, the actress is adding another thing to her growing list of accomplishments in 2022.
Padukone is, reportedly, heading to Qatar to unveil the FIFA World Cup trophy in the middle of a jam-packed stadium, right before the final match. She would be the first Indian actor to do this.
FIFA World Cup is inarguably one of the most-watched sporting events in the world and Padukone representing India on that scale is nothing short of brilliant.
The actress also marked a first in her career earlier this year when she was selected to be one of the jury members at Cannes Film Festival and was also appointed the brand ambassador for Louis Vuitton, becoming the first Indian celebrity to be selected as the face of the brand.
Aside from this, the actress is also starring alongside Shah Rukh Khan in his unofficial comeback to the big screen with Pathaan and has started filming for another high-octane action film Fighter, opposite Hrithik Roshan.
