ICYMI, Deepika Padukone has joined the likes of Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif, and Brad Pitt by launching her own beauty brand.

The actress recently released her maiden beauty label, 82°E (pronounced as Eighty Two, East), a self-care product line made using Ayurveda.

Skincare is something that has been very personal to me. It is a journey that I have learnt and discovered through trial and error over a period of time and I’ve reached a stage in my life where I don’t prioritise anything more than my self-care. Skincare has been an extremely important part of my self-care ritual,” she said, during an Instagram Live session.

The skincare brand focuses on conscious beauty and promises that all the products are vegan, cruelty-free, and clean. The Ayurvedic roots are especially important to the actress who has proclaimed the brand to be “born in India, for the world”.

The unusual name of the brand also holds significance. According to Padukone, it has been inspired by the standard meridian that runs longitudinally through India and “shapes our relationship with the rest of the world”.

We did a little digging into the numerological significance behind the name and discovered that it’s a very lucky one, especially business-wise.

The number 82 indicates a strong winning mentality and is supposed to empower you with success. It is also supposed to indicate a realistic and pragmatic nature which aligns with the label’s philosophy of simple and effective beauty solutions.

When it comes to business, the number indicates self-sufficiency and determination for success.

Now whether Padukone consulted a numerologist before settling on the name or not, it does mean good things for her new venture.
