This just in: Ozark star Julia Garner has been offered to play the role of Madonna in an upcoming biopic that’s being made on the life of the ‘Queen of Pop’. After garnering tremendous success for her hit show Inventing Anna, Garner became the first choice to play the part of the ‘Material Girl’ singer. The actor’s team is reportedly considering the offer and our sources tell us that she might just be considering it.
Madonna will be taking over the director’s chair for her biopic, with Amy Pascal leading the project as a producer. And while we don’t have a lot of detail, we do know that the Universal Pictures movie will be based on Madonna’s early days in the music industry and her rise to fame.
When the biopic was announced, Madonna hoped to share her incredible journey as an artist, musician, dancer, and human being, with her own voice and vision. “The focus of the film will always be music. Music has kept me going and art has kept me alive. There are so many untold and inspiring stories and who better to tell it than me,” said the ‘Papa Don’t Preach’ singer.
