If you’re an Emily In Paris fan, there’s exciting news for you! The cast and crew have started filming the third season of the show this month in Paris, France. Yes! Everyone’s favourite comedy to have intense discussions and debates on is coming back with a brand new season that would hopefully answer some of the questions left unanswered at the end of the last season.

The Netflix show, starring Lily Collins as the titular Emily, has been one of the most divisive shows in recent history. While it gets a lot of applause for its stunning fashion, it also gets flak for its stereotypical portrayal of French culture and customs. Despite all the criticism, it still remains one of the most widely watched and talked about shows of all time.

The show follows American marketing executive Emily Cooper who has to relocate to Paris to ‘offer an American perspective’ to the fictional French firm Savoir. After a few missteps, Emily starts adjusting to her new life in the most romantic city in the world. Over the course of two seasons, she learns to navigate a new culture, career ups and downs, and her love life.

So whether you like it or not, you’re going to definitely watch the upcoming season for sure. So here’s everything you need to know about the third season of Emily in Paris

What will it be about?

The second season ended at a cliffhanger, when Emily called Sylvie to answer whether she would quit Savoir and join her new firm. We also witness her heartbreak at the news that Camille and Gabriel have gotten back together. So we know that the third season will explore these new chapters of her life. Creator and co-executive producer Darren Star has revealed that the new season will take the characters out of Paris and explore other areas of France. This means new and exciting adventures for Emily and the rest of the cast. There were also rumours of the new season being filmed in London, which could possibly have something to do with Alfie’s character and his future with Emily.

Who all will be in the third season?

While we don’t know yet if any new faces are joining the cast this upcoming season, we know that the regular cast members will be returning as they confirmed it onstage at the Paley Fest LA 2022. Aside from Collins, Ashley Park (who plays Mindy), Lucas Bravo (who plays Gabriel), Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu (who plays Sylvie), Samuel Arnold (Julian), and Bruno Govery (Luc) will be a part of the third season for sure. Lucien Laviscount, who plays Alfie, Emily’s new love interest and French class friend, has been promoted from a recurring character to a series regular. Since Kate Walsh’s Madeline was about to give birth at the end of the last season, we don’t know whether she would be returning this time or not.

When will we get to see the third season?

The makers have not confirmed when the show will return but the filming has begun so an official announcement could be coming very soon.

Will there be a fourth season?

Yes! When the third season was announced earlier this year, they also revealed that the show has been renewed for another season. The makers have also confirmed that the filming for the fourth season will happen with the third one, so there won’t be a long wait between the two seasons.
