Barbie-mania is far from over. After securing eight nominations at the Oscars this year, the giant pink phenomenon is adding a coffee table book to its already wide and wonderful world of memorabilia.
One of the best things that came out of the movie, aside from Ryan Gsling’s Ken shouting “Sublime!”, was Margot Robbie’s press tour worldwide. Robbie and her stylist Andrew Mukamal pulled out all the stops to highlight Barbie’s rich fashion history that spans over 65 years.
The book, Barbie: The World Tour, has been described as the “ultimate realisation of Barbiecore” and will feature a foreword by Edward Ennuinful, an introduction by Margaret Zhang and an afterword by director Greta Gerwig. Aside from this, the book will comprise of photographs by Craig McDean and text by Robbie, Mukamal, and the designers who helped put together the stunning looks.
It’s slated to release on March 8, 2024, and you can add the coffee table book to your collection.
As you wait for the book to release and trace the evolution of Barbie’s style over the decades, there are several other books you can read to further explore the themes Gerwig dove into in the movie.
