‘Oppenheimer’ To ‘Barbie’, Here Are The 2024 Golden Globe Winners

The award season for 2024 was officially kicked off by the Golden Globes earlier today. Fans worldwide have been excited to see who won what, especially since the last year show some incredible movies and TV shows.

Barbenheimer continued its winning streak with Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer taking home five trophies, including Best Motion Picture Drama, Best Male Actor in a Motion Picture Drama (for Cillian Murphy), and Best Male Supporting Actor (for Robert Downey Jr.).

Barbie became the first movie to receive the introductory award for Cinematic and Box Office Achievement. It also won Billie Eilish her second Golden Globe for Best Original Song for the incredible “What Was I Made For”.

Studio Ghibli founder Hayao Miyazaki’s The Boy and The Heron won Best Animated Motion Picture (here are some other Studio Ghibli gems we’ll be binge watching to celebrate the win!), while Lily Gladstone won the Best Female Actor trophy for Martin Scorcese’s Killers of the Flower Moon after being nominated for the first time ever.

On the television front, Succession (to nobody’s surprise) led the count by sweeping four trophies, with The Bear and Beef following closely behind with three wins each.

Talking of Beef, actor-comedian Ali Wong made history at the Golden Globes this year by becoming the first actress of Asian descent to win the award for Best Actress in a Limited Series for her performance as Amy Lau in the Netflix series.
