Can you name a woman within a microsecond? You might have to keep the answer ready as a viral trend going around the Internet has women asking their partners to name the first woman they can think of.
The ‘Name a Woman’ trend originated from a now-viral clip from Billy Eichner’s show Billy On The Street where he approached a woman with a dollar bill and demanded she name the first woman that came to her mind.
The trend involves women asking their partners to provide the name of any woman spontaneously. Based on the first name that he answers with, the woman and the commenters then determine whether or not the man in question gave an ‘acceptable’ answer.
In an ideal scenario, the man is supposed to respond with the name of their significant other, but many hilarious videos have had men hastily answering with a ‘Zendaya’, or even ‘Hillary Clinton’!

‘Name a Woman’ Trend: Fun or Potentially Problematic?
Clinical psychologist Yasmine Saad weighed in on the trend in an interview with Business Insider. According to her, the joke could be used to seriously test their relationship and the women could feel betrayed or trigerred by the response, leading to conflict.
Many online agreed with Saad, while others claimed that this was just an innocuous test to see how their partner’s brain works.
What do you think of the trend?
