Along with kicking off the festive season, October also promises to be a great month for new TV shows and movies, especially on OTT platforms.

Vishal Bhardwaj’s much-anticipated thriller titled Khufiya, starring Tabu, is going to be available for streaming early in the month followed by other exciting titles.

Khufiya (Oct 5)

There’s nobody who can adapt books into movies like Vishal Bhardwaj. His upcoming film with Tabu is based on Amar Bhushan’s 2012 novel Escape from Nowhere and follows a spy agent tasked with tracking down a mole in the system. Along with Tabu, it stars Ali Fazal and Wamiqa Gabbi.

Loosely based on a true story, this legal drama follows a small-time lawyer who goes up against a corporate behemoth to help a funeral home owner save his family business. The film stars Jamie Foxx and Tommy Lee Jones.

Kaala Paani (Oct 18)

Made in Heaven actor Mona Singh and Lagaan director Ashutosh Gowariker headline this survival drama set in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. It follows an outbreak of a mysterious illness and promises to be a gritty thriller.

Pain Hustlers (Oct 27)

This David Yates directorial is based on the 2022 book of the same name by Evan Hughes. The plot follows a down-on-her-luck single mom who takes a job at a pharmaceutical company out of desperation. Things become worse for her when she finds herself in the middle of a criminal conspiracy. The movie stars Emily Blunt, Chris Evans and Catherine O’Hara.
