Top Fashion Trends To Look Out For This Spring Season

While you may still be drooling over the latest looks from recent Spring/Summer 2024 fashion weeks, the fashion experts at JOOR have taken a fresh look at the shows to examine what the defining trends of the upcoming season will be, and they’ve discovered that some of your favourite TikTok aesthetics and trends might be due for a resurgence.

Spring Fashion Trends To Look Out For

1. Don’t ditch your ‘cherry red’ just yet!

Gucci’s Spring 2024 show positioned their ‘Gucci Rosso’, a darker Bordeaux red, as a pivotal colour for spring/summer too. A TikTok favourite of the autumn and winter seasons, the colour emulates the ‘cherry red’ trend seen on the platform, with the experts at JOOR predicting a springtime resurgence. With icons like Hailey Bieber opting for darker tresses instead of the adage of ‘going lighter for summer’, we could be set for a moodier look this S/S season.

2. Channel your inner mob wife

While the Spring 2024 catwalks featured a lot of understated, sleek and sophisticated items that emulated quiet luxury, Dolce & Gabbana raked in 3.2 billion views for their collection that featured classics merged with some daring elements. Referenced as an aura, embodying mob wife is all about being unapologetically bold.

3. ‘Blokette’ to make a return

Céline’s ‘Tomboy’ collection featured sporty chic street style that created an elevated yet casual look reminiscent of the #blokette TikTok aesthetic. The online trend merged ‘coquette’ which is seen as hyper-feminine and featuring lots of lace, frill, ribbons and pastels, with ‘blokecore’ which features sports and athleisure wear. Fashion experts predict we could see a resurgence of this in a more understated format, for example combining typically feminine dresses with accessories that are seen as more masculine for the upcoming season.
