If it’s been your dream to study (and work in) fashion, then there’s some exciting news for you! Luxury designer brand Bottega Veneta has now opened its own fashion academy.

Academia Labor et Ingenium is the Italian luxury label’s very own fashion school, where creatives from all backgrounds can apply to get trained under the most skilled artisans in the country.

While that, in its own, makes this an opportunity of a lifetime, there’s also a guaranteed position at Bottega Veneta waiting for the academy’s students upon graduation.

According to the brand, the academy’s chief mission is to foster “craft and creativity”, something that is ingrained in its core values (and displayed proudly on the company’s original crest!). ‘Bottega’ in Italian means a workshop where a collective of artisans honed their skills and transferred knowledge from one generation to another. In fact, the brand’s name also translates to ‘workshop in Italy’, making it all the more understandable why the label has decided to foster new talent.

But before you pack your bags and bid a hasty adieu to your current situation, keep in mind that the academy will only accept 50 students each year. These selected students will train under five renowned artisans who will lead hands-on courses, immersive activities, and independent workshops.

Classes are set to take place at the brand’s new site in Povolaro Dueville, a town in Italy, and its existing atelier in Montebello Vicentino.
