Aside from the delicious food and all your friends and family gathered in one place, the wedding and festive season also means tonnes of opportunities to put your best sartorial foot forward. While women, traditionally, have had a number of options to pick from, men had to contend with fewer choices.
Legendary couturier Tarun Tahiliani’s Tasva aims to redefine menswear for the festive and wedding season, one collection at a time. The brand’s recently released campaign film, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Ananya Panday, drives home the message in the most heartwarming way while promoting the label’s Autumn Winter 2023 collection.
In the nearly two-minute-long clip, Ranbir Kapoor and Ananya Panday play a soon-to-wed couple who are shopping for the groom’s outfit. The Brahmastra star tries on a few of Tasva’s latest fits for his onscreen fiancée who is amazed at the number of amazing options there are for the groom to pick from.
“Nowadays, grooms actively participate in every facet of the wedding, from overall planning to selecting their attire, as carefully as the bride. I am excited to be representing a brand that aligns with the preferences of discerning modern Indian grooms,” said Ranbir Kapoor, on being part of the campaign. His co-star Ananya Panday seconded his thoughts and added, “It’s refreshing to witness this paradigm shift towards a modern perspective on weddings, which I believe is elegantly depicted in this film from the bride’s lens.”
Designer Tarun Tahiliani admired Ranbir and Ananya’s onscreen chemistry and said that they were perfect for the campaign as they represent a generation that’s taking charge of their style while staying true to their roots. “The campaign is a continuation of TASVA’s commitment to and celebration of the modern Indian man, who has redefined how he sees himself. Whether in marriage or in life, comfort, quality, and a joie de vivre must go together. He wants to have fun and we at Tasva are committed to bringing him clothes that can do just that.”
A collaboration between the designer and Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd., Tasva puts a modern twist to ethnic menswear yet retains the traditional craftsmanship and focus on tailoring. The new collection for the season includes a variety of versatile Indo-Western ensembles, including achkans, bandhgalas, Jodhpuris, sherwanis, and other accessories.
Now, whether you’re the groom or a guest, you don’t have to limit yourself when it comes to dressing up for the occasion!
