Naomi Campbell has already set the tone for the New York Fashion Week by adding another feather to her already crowded hat. The supermodel has moved over to the other side and emerged as a designer on the opening day of NYFW 2023.

After 37 years of walking the runway, Campbell debuted her maiden collection with British apparel brand PrettyLittleThing on the NYFW runway. The supermodel worked with up-and-coming designers Victor Anate and Edwin Thompson to create stunning 90s-inspired looks for the brand’s Spring/Summer 2024 collection.

“This collaboration is an extension of my commitment to create and promote opportunities for young, emerging designers,” wrote Campbell in a press release about the collection, “Within my collection, it was important to recognize and include some of the amazing talent that’s out there. I’m very intentional about using my platform to create opportunities for the next generation of creatives from around the world.”

The British model, however, did not leave fans disappointed as she chose to strut down the runway herself in one of the pieces from the collection. Campbell looked like a vision in a black, embellished mesh, backless, high-neck maxi dress, and claimed the whole experience was “nerve-wracking” for her, despite decades of experience.

Celebrities like Julia Fox, Diane Keaton, Emily Ratajkowski, Kelly Rowland, Tommy Dorfman, Sadie Sink and Winnie Harlow were in attendance on the opening day of NYFW.
