Big award show night means all your favourite celebrities turning up at the red carpet in their best and Grammys never disappoint. The biggest night in the music industry has seen some of the most iconic red carpet looks over the years, like Jennifer Lopez’s green Versace dress that led to the inception of Google image search feature or Lady Gaga’s viral egg entrance. This year, to nobody’s surprise, was also a winner as the turnout saw sparkly couture and statement-making looks in spades.
‘Record of The Year’ winner Lizzo turned up in a giant bouquet. Her Dolce and Gabbana corset-and-cloak ensemble was covered with flowers and made it look as if she’s carrying her personal garden with her. Her fellow award-winner Harry Styles showed up in a sparkly and colourful EGONLAB X Swarovski jumpsuit that was the perfect addition in his quest to bring 70s style back with full force.
Taylor Swift kept it sedate with a midnight blue sparkly Roberto Cavalli two-piece set, while Doja Cat turned up the heat in her black latex Versace gown.
Designer Gaurav Gupta has been slowly and steadily carving a niche in the global fashion landscape and clocked another big win after his recent Haute Couture Week debut in Paris. Cardi B wore a custom Gaurav Gupta gown to the Grammys red carpet. The electric blue sculpted gown was a sight to behold.
‘Best Pop Duo/Group Performance’ winner and the team behind the most viral hit of the year Kim Petras and Sam Smith made a dramatic entrance in red with an entourage that featured RuPaul’s Drag Race royalty Violet Chachki and Gottmik.
Bebe Rexha, in her pink Moschino gown and Kacey Musgraves in her Valentino bodysuit proved that Barbiecore as a trend is still going strong.
