Tom Holland And Zendaya Are The Cutest & Here’s Proof

Much like Karan Johar’s lucky couch from Koffee With Karan, the Spider-Man franchise has basically been a breeding ground for celebrity romances. Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst paved the way for this phenomenon in the early 2000s (and blessed the world with that iconic upside-down kiss, recreated by many), before Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield picked up the proverbial baton from them, and were in a relationship for years while playing the Marvel hero and Oscorp intern Gwen Stacy in the blockbuster films. Now, the latest onscreen couple to be bitten by the spidey love bug is Zendaya and Tom Holland, aka Tomdaya.

Holland and Zendaya are on their way to becoming Hollywood royalty with their combined starpower, and their fans just can’t seem to get enough of the adorable couple. The duo has been dating for more than a year, and are reportedly planning to “settle down” and taking their relationship “seriously”.

A report said that the two Spider-Man stars are getting even closer and seem “serious and permanent”. Their relationship is going so well because “they both challenge each other and balance each other out,” the report added. Cue the *awws*.

Now that we’ve got you all mushy, let’s revisit Holland and Zendaya’s sweetest moments together through the years, below.

Celebrating birthdays with the cheesiest posts

Zendaya made a sweeping declaration of love for her beau’s 26th birthday on 1 June with a candid black and white portrait of them both, alongside the caption: “Happiest of birthdays to the one who makes me the happiest <3”.

For Zendaya’s 25th birthday on 1 September last year, Tom posted a very similar sickly sweet tribute to his co-star and girlfriend on Instagram. “My MJ,” the Captain America: Civil War alumnus wrote, “have the happiest of birthdays. Gimme a call when you’re up.” Zendaya’s response in the comments? “Calling now. <3”

Apparently, Tom is the biggest fan of the “Happy birthday!” post, sharing another tribute to Zendaya back in 2019 and 2018, as well. “Keep killing it and paving the way for the rest of us,” he concluded in the latter.

Goofing around on the red carpets

At this point, Zendaya and Holland have travelled the entire world together, making even the most gruelling press tours look fun. “Everyone deserves a hype man like Tom Holland,” Zendaya quipped under a picture from a Spider-Man: Homecoming premiere back in 2017.

The Uncharted actor recreated the pose Will Smith famously made on the red carpet at the 2007 SAG Awards with wife Jada Pinkett Smith. It’s like Shah Rukh Khan’s Rahul from Kuch Kuch Hota Hai derived the “Pyaar dosti hai (love is friendship)” theory keeping these two in mind, am I right?

Chilling out in between shots

Zendaya shared a tongue-in-cheek birthday post for Tom in 2019. “I think we were in... Prague? And this was us literally just chilling. It was hot as shit, and we were all just hanging out and chilling while they were setting up the next shot, and I thought it was a cute picture, because the gang was all together,” said the Euphoria star while describing this picture in an interview. She captioned the post, “Happy birthday weirdo, thanks for being the wonderful person you are, we’re all very lucky to have you and your weirdness.”

Pulling off derring-do stunts together

While speaking of this Manhattan moment, Zendaya said, “This is from Spider-Man: Far From Home. We got to finish the shoot in New York – also, in New York, you can’t lock off the streets, so there’s just people, like, hanging out and watching, watching us do this scene, where we’re pretending to swing around the city, and they go, ahhhhh. So, every time we went up there, we tried to make a funny face or wave at them, and having this really strange but cool and surreal experience of, like, me, with one of my best friends, in a Spider-Man costume – it’s a bucket list experience.”

Slaying at the Met Gala

Zendaya once said that her “favourite” Met Gala had to be the 2018 event, themed around Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination, for which she wore an armour-inspired Versace gown in a nod to Joan of Arc. Clearly, Holland loved the dress as much as the rest of the internet and couldn’t stop himself from showing off his girl. “All hail the queen,” he captioned a photo of her on Instagram. “Killing it, mate.”

Being kind and giving back together

“I think we have the world’s best real-life Spider-Man,” Zendaya captioned a video of an emotional and heartwarming visit to the Presbyterian Children’s Hospital of New York, where Tom visited and interacted with patients in character – including one who preferred Batman!
