‘Squid Game’ Actress Jung Ho-yeon Is All Set To Star In Hollywood Film, ‘The Governesses’

After her mega-blockbuster dystopian TV show, Squid Game, Jung Ho-yeon is set to star in another Hollywood film, The Governesses. Starring alongside Lily-Rose Depp and Renate Reinsve, the film revolves around a trio of governesses that thrive to push the boundaries of the homes they work in while focusing on the boys they are taking care of. The Governesses is based on a feminist fantasy novel by Anne Serre and will be directed by Joe Talbot.

Jung Ho-yeon was last seen in The Weeknd’s latest music video, ‘Out Of Time’, which also starred Jim Carrey. And now, the model-turned-actress is all set to star in the new series, Disclaimer by Alfonso Cuaron.

The Squid Game star made history by winning the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama series. In her winning speech, she thanked her co-stars, team, and her fellow nominees saying “First and foremost, thank you so much. I have sat many a time watching you on the big screen, dreaming of one day becoming an actor.” Ho-yeon also thanked her fellow actors for making her dream and opening the door for her, leaving everyone gushing with happy tears.
