Butter makes everything better, whether it’s movietime snacks or your go-to manicure for summer. Yes, you read that right! Butter Nails are already lining up to be the hottest nail trend of the season, just ask Selena Gomez’s nail artist Tom Bachik.
“Trend alert: Butter manis for Spring,” wrote Bachik as the caption for an Instagram post featuring the popstar’s latest manicure.
Butter yellow has been reigning supreme as the colour of choice for designers and labels for the season. Designers like JW Anderson, Burberry, Bottega Veneta, Proenza Schouler, Tory Burch and Louis Vuitton sent down models down the runway for their Spring/Summer 2024 showcase in the colour.
We even saw it being repped on the red carpet this award season.
The buttery and soft pastel yellow hue is perfect for the season and doesn’t require much effort to pull off. The key to get it right is to keep it simple. The dopamine-inducing colour speaks for itself and, while you can add on a little bit of shine and shimmer, Butter Nails are characterised by their solid and glossy finish.
Another thing to keep in mind, when trying out the manicure, is to get the right yellow for your nails. It has to be a creamy pastel rather than a more vibrant shade of the colour.
