Blackpink’s Jennie is no stranger to breaking records and setting new ones. The talented vocalist is, however, back with a new broken record, this time for her solo feature in a track with The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp.

Jennie collaborated with The Weeknd and Depp on a track called ‘One of the Girls’ as part of the OST of their HBO show The Idol. The Korean singer plays the role of the best friend of troubled pop-star Jocelyn (played by Depp) who is in a strangely toxic relationship with club-owner Tedros (played by The Weeknd).

The song, which was released on June 23, was much-anticipated by fans of the singer who couldn’t wait to hear what a collaboration between the talented singers would sound like. The song made a terrific debut on Spotify, racking in 1.432 million streams on its first day.

Jennie broke her own record as a solo artist with this one as she quickly surpassed her previous hit ‘Solo’ which released in 2018.

The Blackpink member has been making waves ever since she made her debut in the controversial show. Fans and critics declared her to be the best part about the otherwise insipid show and it was clear that viewers were tuning in largely because of her.

Her exit from the show is also being specualted as a reason for the show’s decision to end it after just five episodes, instead of the six that were announced during the time of its release.
