AP Dhillon is unlike any other Indie artists we’ve seen. Not only did he bring about a revolution by combining hip-hop and R&B beats with Punjabi music, he’s been representing the country on several international stages. On Tuesday night, the Indo-Punjabi singer-producer walked the ‘pink’ carpet laid out for the world’s biggest musical talents at the MTV Video Music Awards aka the VMAs, which took place at the Prudential Center in New Jersey. And if just his presence at the event sent the desi internet into a frenzy, his ensemble made sure that he was giving people something to stare at and talk about.

So, here we are, dissecting Dhillon’s chill yet sophisticated look. The ‘Excuses’ singer wore a neutral-toned, animal print-esque coord set with a baggy silhouette. And while you may miss it on first glance, the entire ensemble was embellished with sequins, which have been proving to be the flavour of the season.

Keeping in tandem with his popstar vibe, Dhillon completed his cool look with diamond-shaped, yellow sunnies and black sneakers. He accessorised with a diamond necklace as well as a stud earring. He slicked his hair back and made sure his grooming game was strong.

Dhillon’s popularity grows every day and his songs have earned him a lot of critical acclaim and recognition worldwide. Just earlier this year, he became the first ever Punjabi artist to perform at the Juno Awards. And so, it’s no wonder that the world wants to keep up with all of his style moves.
