One of the most interesting things about the internet is the role that the online community plays in pushing fashion trends forward. For instance, TikTok influencers put the spotlight on Adidas track pants last year. And since then, they’ve slowly moved towards talking about running shorts and consecutively, how to style them.

It seems the summer of 2024 has become all about wearing sportswear, especially with Zendaya’s latest film “Challengers” playing a major role in making Tenniscore back in trend.

Apparently, we’re all digging the charm of sporty clothes. Not in the 2016 athleisure way. But in the-’90s-musicians-donning-track-pants kinda way. Now, for comfort and personality, we turn to the sports clothes celebrities in the ‘90s used to wear. Princess Diana, Farrah Fawcett and Brooke Shields delivered iconic tenniscore outfits in the 80s and ‘90s. Even Gwen Stefani and Rihanna wore Adidas tracksuits with high heels in the ‘90s and the early 2000s.

But today, we are seeing celebrities such as Hailey Beiber, Bella Hadid, Zendaya, Sabrina Carpenter and Kendall Jenner all take on both Soccercore and Tenniscore brazenly.

Apart from this, smaller ways in which people are adopting this sports-chic trend is by wearing soccer socks, and other vintage athletic sneakers such as the iconic Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66.
