Another day, another celebrity couple adding a dose of sweetness to our Instagram feeds with their PDA. This time, the celebrity couple in question is Bennifer AKA Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez who, ever since their reunion back in 2021, have been repeat offenders in the category.
Recently, JLo shared a heartwarming video on Instagram to wish Affleck on his 51st birthday. In the video, the couple can be seen driving in their car while belting out ‘Wonderful World’ by Sam Cooke.

They are each other’s cheerleaders. The Argo actor credited the authenticity of his film Air to JLo’s keen style sense and knowledge of fashion history. Lopez has also spoken publicly about Affleck’s superb dad skills. In an interview with The Today Show, the singer opened up about how he had stepped up to the challenge of being a stepfather to her kids.

Affleck revealed how Lopez had his back, when rumours of him blaming ex-wife Jennifer Garner for his alcoholism were doing the rounds. According to him, Lopez sat him down and asked him to relax and just be his genuine self. “As in many things, she’s really right. And she loves me. She’s looking out for me. She’s trying to help me. So, it’s like, maybe I ought to f*cking listen to her,” he said.

The couple marked Valentine’s Day 2023 with ‘commitment’ tattoos. JLo got a red-ink infinity sign with an arrow through it, while Affleck’s is a minimalistic black tattoo of two arrows criss-crossed and tied together with the letters J and B in the middle.

While they’ve made an art form of couple style on the red carpet ever since they got back together, their first post-wedding appearance at Ralph Lauren’s show in California really takes the cake. The two coordinated all-black outfits and looked stunning.
In July 2022, the couple got married in a hush-hush ceremony in Affleck’s Georgia home, and shared the breathtaking pictures that understandably sent the internet into overdrive. Lopez opened up about the dreamy nuptials during her show, On The JLo. “Nothing ever felt more right to me, and I knew we were finally ‘settling down’ in a way you can only do when you understand loss and joy, and you are battle tested enough to never take the important things for granted, or let the silly insignificant nuisances of the day get in the way of embracing every precious moment.”

The list would be remiss without mentioning the hard launch of their relationship back in 2021, after breaking up in 2004, following a three year relationship and an engagement. The star-crossed lovers found their way back to one another, and announced their reunion to the world at the 78th Venice International Film Festival. The couple had arrived holding hands and couldn’t stop looking at one another.
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s story is one for fairytales. It symbolises that love really can conquer it all.
