It feels like we’ve travelled back in time to the ‘00s as our favourite couple shared the news of their beautiful engagement. Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are engaged once again, almost 20 years after they ended their previous engagement.
The ‘On The Floor’ singer shared the news in the new edition of her On the JLo newsletter where she spoke about the proposal and how they have gotten a “second chance at true love”. “It was nothing fancy at all, but it was the most romantic thing I could’ve ever imagined… just a quiet Saturday night at home, two people promising to always be there for each other,” says Lopez in her heartwarming announcement.
The ‘Marry Me’ singer also shared the picture of her stunning emerald cut green diamond ring, stating how green has always been her lucky colour and will forever remain to be.
After their engagement ended in 2004, Lopez went on to marry Marc Anthony, with whom she shares Maximilian and Emme Muñiz while Affleck married Jennifer Garner, with whom he shares Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel Affleck. Both couples eventually got divorced and Jennifer and Ben have dated other people.
In 2019, JLo was engaged to Alex Rodriguez but announced their separation in 2021, just a few weeks before Jennifer was spotted with now-fiance Ben Affleck. Soon after their engagement news broke, the couple was seen house hunting along with Affleck’s kids Seraphina and Samuel. Guess, fairtytale endings do happen in real life!
