Concluding 2023, the stunning Nargis Fakhri wrapped up the year with a spontaneous trip to experience the snow in Switzerland and indulging in a Christmas movie binge. This finale capped a splendid year, marked by her compelling portrayal of a sensual villainess in the entertaining OTT series Tatlubaaz and being honoured with the prestigious DIAFA award in Dubai. “Spontaneity is the spice of life for me,” says the actress, asserting that it has changed her life for the better.

Yet, she takes a thoughtful pause when questioned about an upcoming international film project. “I have a few projects lined up, but I cannot elaborate on them just yet,” is all she says, only willing to disclose that 2024 will bring a sustainable fashion makeover to her wardrobe.

HELLO!: Nargis, you brought in the New Year with close friends in Dubai. What was the best part of the evening?

Nargis Fakhri: “Going to sleep (laughs). I haven’t partied and stayed up so late in a long time so it was a good change.”

H!: Do you make New Year resolutions?

NF: “I don’t because I feel when you make resolutions you are setting yourself up for failure. Taking small baby steps towards changing a habit is more practical but I don’t have to for 2024. I’m just living my life the way I want to.”

H!: What are you binge-watching these days?

NF: “I spent two weeks before Christmas binge-watching Christmas movies. I loved The Snowman. And the last thing I watched is Nowhere on Netflix.”

H!: What’s your last beauty buy?

NF: “An LED red light therapy face mask, but I keep forgetting to use it, so who knows if it works! (Laughs)”

H!: In taking care of yourself, both mentally and emotionally, what practices do you follow?

NF: “I prioritise adequate sleep, aiming for at least eight hours. Hydration is crucial; I consume a minimum of two litres daily. My diet is balanced, focusing on fibre-rich whole foods while avoiding processed options. These practices contribute to a positive mental attitude. Regular exercise boosts my dopamine levels, promotes circulation, and enhances the health of my skin and hair.”

H!: Share your secret to shining bright.

NF: “Having a sense of humour and being non-judgmental helps me navigate life.”

H!: What are your hopes for 2024?

NF: “I don’t plan my life. I believe in the saying, ‘Man plans and God laughs’. I’m a very spontaneous person. I will tell you about life in the past few weeks. I wanted to see the snow so I went to Switzerland, then I went to Greece to see my friends, and then I arrived in Germany for some peace and quiet. But there is one thing I would like to do this year—add more pieces of clothing that are made of natural, sustainable fabrics like wool and cotton to my closet. I usually shop from online stores.”
