Recently when Padukone and Singh were in the United States, the couple attended an event hosted by the Konkani Association of California (KAOCA) in San Jose where the Gehraiyaan actor was felicitated as the chief guest. Deepika Padukone took to Instagram to thank the KAOCA and the people of her community for showing the actor so much love.
Ranveer Singh also joined Padukone on the stage, taking a moment to share everything he had learned in his wife’s native language. In the video that went viral on Twitter, the actor can be seen impressing the audience with his Konkani. The room broke into a loud cheer when the Gully Boy star said “I’m really happy” in Konkani, receiving an appreciative smile and a “well done” from Deepika Padukone.
The actors have some major releases lined up, with Ranveer Singh’s Cirkus and Padukone’s Pathaan releasing later this year.
