Giving stiff competition to the Cannes red carpet, Karan Johar’s 50th birthday party rolled out its own red carpet for Bollywood celebrities to strut down in their finery. The director rang in his birthday in style at Yash Raj Studios in Mumbai with basically the entire Bollywood in attendance.

We believe the dress code was glamour and glitter since every guest channeled a particularly shiny disco ball for their red carpet outfits. Some of the stand out looks include Anushka Sharma, who looked stunning in a black Elizabetta Franchi dress with cut-outs. Kiara Advani paired her silver sequinned Monisha Jaising skirt with a white Jacquemus blazer. Janhvi Kapoor threw it back to the 70s in her slinky sequinned Manish Malhotra gown and Malaika Arora went with a shiny Alex Perry ensemble. Rakul Preet Singh twinned with the red carpet in her gorgeous Alexander Vauthier dress.
