When he is not busy delivering box office hits and playing basketball with Machine Gun ‘I Am Weed’ Kelly, Ranveer Singh is getting ready to be a comic book character.
Reportedly, Yash Raj Films is all set to release a comic book series featuring Singh’s character from the upcoming film Jayeshbhai Jordar.
The film, directed by Divyang Thakkar, is a social comedy where the titular character (played by Singh) takes on a variety of social issues related to gender discrimination. The movie marks the Bollywood debut of Arjun Reddy actress Shalini Pandey, and also stars Boman Irani and Ratna Pathak Shah in integral roles.
According to reports, the makers felt that the quick-witted protagonist’s fight against patriarchy needs to be taken further in the form of a comic book series post the release of the film.
The comics are going to be released in English and Hindi and the movie is slated to be released on May 13. Keep checking this space for more updates!
