Ripley on Netflix
Patricia Highsmith’s 1955 crime novel The Talented Mr. Ripley is getting another live-action adaptation after the 1999 eponymous movie starring Matt Damon and Jude Law. The 2024 version is an eight-episodes-long limited series starring Andrew Scott, Dakota Fanning and Johnny Flynn. The show is about down-on-his-luck grifter, Tom Ripley, who is hired by a wealthy man to bring his son back from Italy, thus introducing Ripley to a life of deceit, fraud and murder.

Parasyte: The Grey on Netflix
The makers of Train to Busan and Hellbound are back with another potentially nightmare-inducing drama where a group of aliens plan to take over the world. In this live-action adaptation of a popular Japanese manga series, a group of mysterious parasitic creatures fall from outer space to find humans to host them and eventually create a society of their own.

This Tamil-language action thriller stars Jayam Ravi and Keerthy Suresh. Everyone’s favourite celebrity of the moment, Diljit Dosanjh, is collaborating with director Imtiaz Ali for the biopic of legendary Punjabi musician Amar Singh Chamkila. The A.R. Rahman musical will focus on his extraordinary journey and untimely death and will also star Parineeti Chopra.

Chief Detective 1958 on Disney+ Hotstar
This one is the prequel of the popular 1971 Korean series Chief Inspector. Chief Detective 1958 is set ten years before the vents of the original K-drama and follows Detective Park Young-han and his team of three gifted colleagues as they navigate the corrupt world of the Seoul Police Department.
