Karan Johar’s celebrity chat show Koffee With Karan is back and this time it’s even more unfiltered than ever before. The seventh season kicked off with Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt making an appearance on the couch and setting the tone for the season to follow.
The second episode had two of the most popular star kids on the block, Janhvi Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan, grace the Koffee Kouch.
With the show’s staple Rapid Fire round and the film knowledge quiz segment, there were enough moments to make this episode hilarious and super fun. Their Pandemic Experiences
Both the actors revealed that they grew closer to their families as they spent more time at home during the lockdown. Kapoor admitted that the pandemic gave her a chance to reconnect with her family and finally explore the dynamic between her father, sister, and herself after the death of her mother Sridevi in 2018.
Khan, though glad to be able to spend time with her mother and brother, confessed that the time in lockdown gave her major anxiety about where her career was heading. The Simmba actress felt that since all shooting had stopped during the lockdown, her important years as an actress were passing away and she won’t be able to make up for the lost time.
The near-death experience that bonded them for life
The two have been documenting their close bond on Instagram and in front of paparazzi since a long time but did you know it all started with a near-death experience? The two actresses have taken multiple trips together, including one where theyd ecided to go trekking in Kedarnath. “We decided to go to Bhairavnath and there was a normal path for walking. But we thought ourselves to be better. We chose to hike instead. There was an 85 incline of just rocks and Janhvi was like ‘Let us just climb this’.”
Though scared and skeptical, Khan agreed because she didn’t want to come off as a buzzkill. But soon they found themselves stuck in the middle of nowhere, in freezing temperature, until they were rescued witht he help of special forces haf an hour later.
Their common crush on this Telugu superstar
When Johar pushed Khan to reveal her celebrity crush, she wasted no moment before admitting that she had a crush on Telugu actor Vijay Deverakonda. In a previous season, Kapoor had also chosen Deverakonda as her celebrity crush, making the Liger actor their mutual crush! Th actor himself replied to Khan’s confession on the show by sharing the clip on his Stories with a caption that read, “I love how you say ‘Deverakonda.’ Cutest. Sending big hugs and my affection.”
The celebrity wedding aesthetic they want to cop for themselves
When Johar quizzed Kapoor about which celebrity wedding aesthetic she would she adopt for her own wedding, she said, “Ranbir-Alia for sure. It was so wholesome and so much heart. I shed a tear for them. Out of happiness.” Khan agreed but joked that it was her dream wedding because she wouldn’t have to spend too much money on it as the couple had chosen to hold the ceremony at home and not at an exotic destination like their contemporaries.
What they’re looking for in their dream partners
During the Koffee Bingo segment, Khan’s responses revealed that she had a checklist ready for her future husband. When prodded about what that checklist contains, she joked that he needs to have a lot of money! But after Kapoor told her to spill for real, she admitted that her partner would have to be “Understanding, emotional, mature, humourous, rich.” Kapoor said she wants somebody who could make her laugh.
