It’s true! Beyoncé has announced that her new albumRenaissance will be out next month and the Internet, predictably, has gone into a meltdown.

The singer started hinting at a big announcement by deleting the profile pictures from her social media accounts. The cryptic action sent the Beyhive into a frenzy, with many (rightfully) speculating that Queen Bey is releasing new music soon. And lo and behold! Renaissance will be out on July 29, 2022.

Fans can add Renaissance to their collections on streaming services in advance and even buy boxed sets for the albu. These boxed sets would contain a CD, a T-shirt, and collectible boxes containing a 28-page booklet and posters.

This will be Beyoncé’s first solo studio album since Lemonade in 2016. Since then, the singer has collaborated with husband Jay-Z on his album Everything Is Love in 2018 and released Homecoming in 2019, which is a live album and concert film from her appearance at Coachella. She has also curated and produced the soundtrack album The Lion King: The Gift, a companion album to the 2019 remake of Disney’s animated classic The Lion King. Her song ‘Black Parade’ (2020) won a Grammy for best R&B performance and ‘Be Alive’ (2021) was featured in Will Smith starrer King Richard and even nominated for an Oscar.

In true Bey fashion, there’s mystery surrounding the release so no further information has been revealed about the album yet. At least we know the date of the release and can prepare ourselves this time, unlike the time in 2013 when she dropped her visual album Beyoncé out of nowhere and broke the Internet.

Are you excited for the album?!
