There’s something to be said about the beauty of connection that makes us all feel like we’re a part of something bigger and beautiful in the world. It is this spirit of humanity that inspired Her Story’s latest collection ‘Sero’.

Derived from the Sanskrit word for ‘thread’ and the Latin word for ‘to link or join’, Sero is all about the power of reaching out to one another with compassion.

This is captured in the fine jewels of the collection through the art of Chikankari, a popular traditional embroidery style from Lucknow. The jewels of Sero feature delicately-linked, flexible rose-cut and pavé-set brilliant-cut diamonds that are meticulously patterned around Akoya pearls in fine threadwork-inspired designs.

For the collection, the skilled craftspeople of Her Story devised a new linking technique. Through this, it became possible to make the links between the jewels appear invisible and create a unique, flexible effect with the rose-cut diamonds.

The group of craftsmen were specially trained to master this technique and it took around a whopping 1100 hours of workmanship to create just the first lead piece for the collection!

This elegant and intricate collection features 18K rose-gold jewels that are defined by tone-on-tone hues and breathtaking shapes and textures.

“Compassion for others and the world is one of the most powerful needs of modern living. We hope to bring this to the forefront with a collection that celebrates the fact that each individual is a part of a greater whole, with delicately-linked diamonds in designs reminiscent of fine threadwork, forming a powerful metaphor for community,” says Sitanshi Talati-Parikh, Brand Director, Her Story.

The collection, featuring a range of rings, earrings, wristwear and necklaces, is now on display at the Her Story flagship boutique in Kala Ghoda, Mumbai.
