Florence Pugh will not let haters shame her into ditching statement-making sheer looks and her latest appearance at Valentino’s fall/winter 2023 couture show at Paris fashion week is a testament to that.
The Don’t Worry Darling actress looked like a vision in a lilac, see-through gown, which paired stunningly with her cotton candy pink pixie cut and sky-high black platform heels.
The diaphanous gown, with its romantic sheer fabric and ruffled statement collar, made the look almost angelic until the edgy haircut and accessories balanced it out.
Pugh is no stranger to making statements with her looks. The actress loves a bold silhouette and doesn’t shy away from experimenting with her style.
Last year, the actress had worn another stunning see-through number at Valentino’s show. The see-through hot pink gown caused a stir with many shaming her for the look.
Pugh addressed the controversy in an Instagram post where she called out the haters and acknowledged that this was not the first or last time anonymous strangers, mostly men, would feel comfortable commenting on women’s bodies.
“Thankfully, I’ve come to terms with the intricacies of my body that make me, me. I’m happy with all of the ‘flaws’ that I couldn’t bear to look at when I was 14. So many of you wanted to aggressively let me know how disappointed you were by my ‘tiny tits’, or how I should be embarrassed by being so ‘flat chested’. I’ve lived in my body for a long time. I’m fully aware of my breast size and am not scared of it.”
