We’re witnessing another style renaissance in real time and this time it’s Jennifer Lawrence who, along with her stylist Jamie Mizrahi, has gone back to the basics when it comes to red carpet style.
The actress, who has been busy jet-setting worldwide for the premieres of her movie No Hard Feelings, has shown us how to wear neutrals without making them look dull.
The Hunger Games actress’ style has never been too experimental but she had been known to veer towards bold colours and silhouettes when it came to red carpet dressing.
Lawrence recently channelled Grecian goddess realness with two all-white looks in one day for the New York movie premiere. For the first look, she chose an ivory, off-the-shoulder dress from Dior’s pre-fall 2023 collection and kept the accessories and make-up minimal and muted. Keeping in mind her unofficial new red carpet dress code, the actress chose another white Proenza Schouler dress, this time with a sheer maxi overlay on the form-fitting dress in the same tone.
For the Madrid premiere, Lawrence went with a strapless nude Loewe dress from the label’s Fall/Winter 2023 ready-to-wear collection.
Lawrence’s sudden fascination with a neutral colour palette is not new. For the actress’ first major public appearance of the year, at last month’s Cannes Film Festival, she chose an understated, yet beautiful, off-white Dior gown.
Her new neutral wardrobe is not all ivory and beiges, the actress wore a stunning black Dior gown for the England premiere of the movie with sheer detailing and quarter-length gloves as accessories.
She also showed how you can have fun with the two tones by pairing a fitted dark blazer with a sheer dress by Georgio Armani Privé for a recent talk show appearance.
For the Berlin premiere, she chose a black blazer minidress with a plunging neckline and a sheer turtleneck top underneath it.
What do you think of Lawrence’s new style?
