Jacquemus And Nike Are Collaborating On A Collection Of ‘Sensuous’ Womenswear

Luxury brands and athleisure have crossed wires before with brands like Louis Vuitton and Dior partnering with sportswear brands like Nike for popular collections in the past. The latest to join the list is Jacquemus.

After months of speculation, fuelled by Nike shoes being worn in a major Jacquemus campaign, the French designer has announced that a capsule collection will be released in partnership with the brand. According to a statement released by the designer, the collection will redefine athletic womenswear in a minimalistic style. “With this imagery in mind, we designed women’s athletic wear with sensuous details and neutral colours. It was important for the collection to be accessible for all bodies, and to be a natural blend of Jacquemus style and Nike performance,” read the statement.

The designer, who is best known for creating the tiny It bag Le Chiquito, is tapping into his love for sportswear with this collection. Launching on June 28, the collection will comprise of a variety of apparel, footwear and accessories.
