Amitabh Bachchan bid farewell to his beloved pet and penned a heartfelt note in his memory. The Uunchai star took to Twitter and Instagram yesterday to mourn his loss and shared a moving tribute for his labrador, who passed away after a long battle with illness. It’s always difficult to cope when your fur-baby inevitably crosses the rainbow bridge, and every pet owner would attest to that. No matter how old you are, or how long you have known your bestie, losing them always leaves a gaping hole in your heart and your life.
Bachchan posted an adorable picture of his dog, and wrote a few words in Hindi in his memory, “One of our little friends; work moments… then they grow up… and leave one day.” The picture shows Bachchan looking dapper in a red suit with his arms wrapped around the puppy in a happy embrace. Now, we’re not sure whether Big B lost the furbaby featured in this photo, or he was writing about another dog he owned, but his post surely melted many of his fans’ hearts.
Soon after he shared the picture, fans and wellwishers rushed to the comment section with heartfelt messages and condolences. One netizen wrote, “Dogs might be in just a small part of our lives, but, to them, we are their whole life.”
The Zanjeer star also shared the heartbreaking news on his blog. He wrote, “The gorgeousness of my little friend at work .. … and then they grow up and then one day leave us .. heartbreaking ! but while they are around they are the life and soul of our life ..!!
On the work front, the superstar was last seen in the adventure drama Uunchai, which garnered an overwhelmingly positive response from the audiences. Marking Sooraj Barjatya’s directorial comeback after seven long years, the slice-of-life movie was released on November 11 and also featured talented veteran actors like Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, Sarika and Neena Gupta.
Bachchan also has Project K, co-starring Deepika Padukone and Prabhas, and the Hindi remake of Robert DeNiro and Anne Hathaway’s smash hit film The Intern, also alongside Padukone, in his kitty
