Blackpink fans, gather around! Lisa is officially going to make her acting debut with HBO’s award-winning series The White Lotus’ upcoming third season.
After launching her own label LLOUD, the rapper is adding another feather on her cap. Lisa will be the third Blackpink member, after Jennie and Jisoo, to foray into acting. According to Variety, Lisa’s role int he show is being kept under wraps for now but the annoucnement has alreadys ent a wave of excitement amongst fans of the K-pop star and the show alike.
It was recently reported that The White Lotus is going to resume filming for the third season soon. This means we need to start bracing ourselves for another luxurious international holiday where horribly rich people get up to horrible things.
Mike White’s award-winning anthology series is coming back with a new season and according to him, it’s going to be “longer, bigger, crazier”.
The first two seasons followed groups of rich guests on luxury holidays in Hawaii (season 1) and Sicily (season 2). Their stay at the White Lotus resort was marred with murders that put everyone on the list of prime suspects.

If you’ve seen the last season of the show then you already know that Jennifer Coolidge is not going to return as the clueless heiress, Tanya McQuoid, in The White Lotus season three.
Her fate at the end of the second season pretty much sealed this fact. However, another character is going to make a comeback and it’s Belinda from the White Lotus Hawaii beauty spa! Natasha Rothwell’s return as the spa manager was confirmed by the makers (and the actress herself).
Besides her and Blackpink’s Lisa, the third season is also going to star Jason Isaacs, Parker Posey, Leslie Bibb, Michelle Monaghan, Dom Hetrakul, Tayme Thapthimthong and Carrie Coons.
What Will The White Lotus Season 3 Be About?
While the plot is being kept under wraps, it’s safe to assume that the show will continue its theme of kicking off with a murder mystery that puts everyone under suspicion. The makers have confirmed that this time the titular White Lotus resort will be situated in Koh Samui, Thailand. The gorgeous location will provide the perfect background for whatever deplorable things the next crop of rich guests get up to.
In an interview with Variety, Mike White revealed that while the themes of the first season were money and sex, the third season will be a “satirical and funny look at death, Eastern religion and spirituality”. He also shared that the third season will be a “supersized White Lotus”. Natasha Rothwell backed him up in an interview with Vanity Fair, saying that she “gasped out loud a minimum of five times” while reading the script.
When Will The White Lotus Season 3 Be Released?
The filming of the show is, reportedly, going to begin from February 2024. It’s safe to say that we’re not getting the new season before early 2025 and the makers haven’t confirmed the date of release yet. Stay tuned!
