There is really no way you can predict when you might need to pop open a bottle of champagne to celebrate a milestone. What if you manage to dunk 50 paperballs in the waste paper basket, one after the other, successfuly and there’s no champagne to highlight the victorious moment? Or what if you somehow figure out complicated hotel shower mechanics in the first go, without any assistance and have no champagne lying around to celebrate the achievement?

Thankfully, a hotel in Texas has a ready solution for this unforeseen problem in the form of emergency champagne hotlines installed in every room!

The Kempton Harper, located in Fort Worth (Texas), has installed an old-timey rotary phone in every room for guests to summon a glass (or bottle) of bubbly at a press of a button.

The hotel launched this new amenity to celebrate their first anniversary, alongside other exciting offers at their in-hotel services. The hotline has been created in partnership with champagne house Veuve Clicquot.

A spokesperson of the hotel spoke to Food & Wine about the hotline and said that a bottle of champagne would be delivered to the guests as soon as they press the hotline button, in the label’s signature yellow glassware that the visitors can take back home with them when they leave.

If you can’t make it to Fort Worth this time of the year, don’t worry. The hotel has revealed that the champagne hotline will be a permanent feature in the rooms from now on. It will, however, feature different champagne partners throughout the year.

So when are you heading over to Fort Worth now?!
